ADVANCED OPTIONS Once you are comfortable with the basics of using your iLoad, When iLoad is ready for use the LCD screen will read: Press GO to Read CD By pressing the left arrow and right arrow buttons, you can toggle through all of the Advanced Options Selections. Pressing the GO button executes your selection. (1) Identify Songs Occasionally, iLoad will be unable to identify the music information of your CD because the music information was not included in the “on-board” database version. This menu option allows you to update songs that were initially unidentified by our “on-board” database and therefore shown as "Track 1", "Track 2,..." etc. on your iPod. The after-the-fact music identification is accomplished via the internet, using a wired Ethernet Internet connection that does not require a user name or password. You will need an Ethernet cable, your iPod and the iPod to USB cable. Here’s how to identify music on your iPod that was not previously identified by our “on-board” database. Please following these items exactly in the order specified here: (1) Without an iPod connected to your iLoad, connect the AC power supply to the iLoad and press the power button. (2) When the iLoad LCD screen reads “Press GO”, connect an iPod to the
iLoad using the iPod USB cable. The cable should be connected to either of the two rear USB ports. Connect headphones or speakers if you wish (3) Plug an Ethernet cable into the Ethernet receptacle on the rear the iLoad device. Please note that the Internet connection must not require a user name and password. If you have a router, please use an available router port to the connect to the iLoad Ethernet connection port. (4) Press the right hand arrow button until IDENTIFY SONGS is displayed on the iLoad LCD screen, and press the GO button. (5) Press the right arrow again so that SELECT SOURCE: INTERNET is displayed in the LCD and press the GO button. (6) The iLoad LCD will display progress in accessing our larger Master Database on our servers and will update any previously unidentified music information on your iPod. Rarely, iLoad will not be able to identify the selection. In this event, you can update the music information using various utility programs available on our website, www.iLoad.com web site in the Support Section. You can also use the Identify Songs” feature without accessing the Internet. Simply select MUSIC DB instead of Internet as the source and press GO. iLoad will attempt to identify songs
(using the on-board database) that weren't identified previously because
either the Setup CD was not installed, or because the user had an older A third option allows one to update songs directly from a Setup CD (no on-board database is required). Simply insert your latest Setup CD, press GO, and select the option "Identify songs." (2) Download iLoad Music DB This function downloads the latest music database directly to your iPod. The update can take 30 minutes or more, depending upon the speed of your Internet connection. We recommend that you only perform this function occasionally, as you’ll likely find the “Identify Songs” feature serves the same purpose and is considerably more convenient. (3) Download iLoad System Update iLoad is capable of updating its system software through a wired Internet connection that does not require a user name or password. We recommend that you perform system updates as often as may be convenient to you. Updated systems ensure that you achieve the optimum system performance and reliability as well as receive new features as they become available. System updates are free to registered iLoad owners. To check for an update, first ensure that your iLoad system is connected to a wired Ethernet Internet connection that does not require a password or user name. From iLoad's "Main Menu" (Press GO to Read CD), use the right arrow button to select DOWNLOAD UPDATE and press the GO button once. (5) Delete All Songs This function is used to delete all songs on your iPod. To delete all songs on your iPod, select "Delete all songs" by using the right and left arrow buttons and pressing the GO button. "Deleting songs" and "Delete complete / Press GO " will be displayed. Note: Individual songs can't be deleted with this function, it is designed to delete ALL songs. (6) Delete Music DB This function is used to delete the current iLoad “on-board” music database on your iPod. If you delete the iLoad “on-board” music database, song and album information will no longer be supplied by the iLoad device. The iLoad music database can be restored by obtaining a new SETUP CD from iLoad (see the support section of www.iLoad.com) or by following the UPDATE iLoad MUSIC DATABASE described above. To delete the music database, select "Delete music DB" by using the right or left arrow buttons and pressing the GO button. The display will ask you to confirm. Toggle to "Yes" using the right or left arrow buttons. "Deleting DB" and "Delete complete / Press go" will be displayed, followed by the iLoad Main Menu. (7) Get System Info Select this function to find out what version of the iLoad Application Software is installed on your system, followed by the “S/N” (system serial number) of your iLoad system. This information is required when seeking support from our iLoad Service Ambassadors.
